The International Quidditch Association has a new Board of Trustees
On February 16, 2019 the IQA Assembly of Members, composed of delegates from qualifying member leagues, gathered and elected the new Board of Trustees, that is the part of the association responsible for the long term view and its strategic direction.
The elections saw the participation of representatives from 11 national governing bodies that, after initial introductions made by Elections Committee Chair Sarah Woolsey and Interim Executive Director and former Trustee Andy Marmer, had the occasion to review and discuss the profiles of the 14 candidates.
The nine elected Trustees are, in alphabetical order:
A transition period will be needed for them to be properly on boarded on current affairs and for them to meet and set their priorities and vision for the IQA. The new board is scheduled to meet for the first time on February 21. Interim Executive Director Andy Marmer will assist in their transition after deciding to not seek re-election for both Board.
